Hoping those with PDWs' can provide some insight on Buffers for a possible build shortly. Not sure if it will be a 5.56mm or .300AAC configuration just yet, so any input from those members with either would be appreciated.

Just wondering given the pistol length gas system if a H2 or Spikes T2 Buffer is required. Or is a regular Buffer acceptable?

Cheers

I've run a standard buffer in my 10.3" 300BLK rig without any issues. I just replaced it with a Spike's T2 buffer that I had kicking around from my other rifle but haven't shot it yet.

I run a H2 colt buffer on my .556 7.5 ar15
There are a lot of different variables to consider
Make sure upgrade the extractor spring with o ring and use a full auto bolt carrier
With the buffer you really have to start with h2 and work your way up from there.

I have run a standard carbine buffer in my 6.5 inch 223 with a full auto BCG and it cycled fine. Switching to a Spikes T2 (I think) smoothed it out a bit though.

As for 300BLK, Suputin knows best. I only have a 9.75 inch piston driven AR which is a factory build with FA BCG and standard carbine buffer. I'm still waiting for my 300BLK barrel to be built for my DI build.

Almost done :D

Just assembled the lower yesterday. Have the 6.5 inch barrel in it so the barrel but is sitting in the right spot for the rail to grab.
NEA upper/lower and BCG, Troy Alpha 11 inch with sight, DD LPK (wow gritty trigger will need a lot of rounds to smooth out), MOE grip and STR stock, 3bucc brass catcher attachment behind the EoTech mount.
Having the barrel built so that the muzzle device starts right at the end of the rail.

Thanks Gents. Still not 100% sure if I'll go the PDW route, as an 11.5" SBR is also up for consideration as a possibility.

I have a Spikes T2 and a regular carbine buffer, so looks like I'll play around with both once I finally decide on which Cal.
