Hi Gang,

I'm currently considering doing the bayonet lug switch on my PE90, to be NATO compatible.

To me, it looks like a relatively simple process to drive out the roll pin, BUT... I have been sadly wrong in the past.

Is this pin reusable? Who carries the NATO lugs, and how much do they tend to retail for? If the pin needs to be replaced, where do I get that from, or does the new lug come with one?

Thanks for reading!

Neal

The pin is reusable; I've replaced the bayo lug with a versa-pod adapter in my SG551 and I reused the original pin.

You just raised a good question. I would like
to put a shorter bipod on my Black Special
so it would work better with my scope.
Tell my more about mounting the bipod on the
bayonet lug. Does it affect the point of aim
or the accuracy?

Thanks
Bill

Yes the roll pin can be reused.
We stock the lugs. They are $10ea.

I was very happy with accuracy and low weight of that mounting solution (though now I'm using Harris with QD adapter in picatinny fore-end). Had no POI/POA problems either.

I just brutally drag out the plug out of the universal mount and used lathe to make it thinner in the other end.

Edit: actually the version in the pic below was modified from the versa-pod stock adapter plug.
