LOL... and now commeth the pecard vs. neatsfoot debate.
Some say Neatsfoot builds up salt in the leather and ultimately goes rancid ruining the leather. Personally I have never seen this happen. I suspect it requires drenching and leaving the leather in a damp place for many moons.
Pecards is what museums use but it makes the leather look "waxy" and some say un-natural.
Now let's hear some heated debate... lol.
