Pedersoli shotgun shooters?

I have a Pedersoli double 12, that I love. It is Cyl x CYL bore and all hell to get 12 ga wads in. Turns out the bores are closer to 13 ga, which is no big deal as 13 ga wads are easy to get . Most times now I don't use wads, I use wasp nests instead. Works great with shot and .690 round balls.

I've had a Pedersoli (Navy Arms) 12 Ga SxS for 40 years. It has taken a lot of upland game/varmints. I've carried it deer hunting but haven't had a shot.

I have a Pedersoli Baker double shotgun and I recommend it highly. It has back action locks for that vintage look and a single trigger. The trigger fires the left barrel first then the right if both hammers are cocked, if not it fires which ever hammer is cocked.Another advantage of the single trigger is that there is lots of room for a gloved hand in winter.Mine is in 12ga with modified and improved chokes.I bought it from Marstar.I also have a Pedersoli Mortimer 12ga flintlock that I will be hunting with for the first time this year.
PS Mine accepts the 12ga wads and cards easily

Do you use just wasps nest material by itself?

I use wasp nest material over the powder charge and then wadded up glossy magazine paper as a filler wad. Then a thinner wad of paper over the shot. I used to use newspaper as wadding but quit after starting a grass fire.

I just use the nests as is, crumble up what looks like the right amount and shove it home, follow with shot or a .690 ball, and another clump of nesting. It is always easy to get this stuff to the bottom.
