Pedersoli's 1873 Springfields

The sights, M70 and Buffington the M84, are interchangable on the originial Springfields, but use different screws. The front sight height is different for the M70 amd M84 rear sights..
One post mention that they had put an original sight on a Pedersoli Springfield, but had to modify one of the sights screw holes to make it fit..

The front sight height shouldn't be an issue, as long as they reproduced the original type sight block, using the separate pin-on blade. It would be very easy to make a blade in a different height. I see the Buffington rear sights on eBay quite often.
