Yeah, please keep me posted on that, too.

Permanently under construction from what ive heard!

Something to do with a lawsuit, and being shut down.

There is a member or 2 here that know all about it, but ive given up waiting to join.

I tried 3 years ago before moving to go to school and no progress since then!

Peel has sort of been in limbo for years. City has wanted 'em to move for years too. They claim, or did 25 plus years ago, that they have a city charter and can't be forced out.

PEEL??!! HOLY MOLY!!
I shot my first straight handicap there about 45 years ago!:)
I still have a leather club patch on my old 10X vest.
I thought they were long ago shut down......

"...thought they were long ago shut down..." Haven't been there for years myself. Used to shoot their pin matches, long ago. I think they still have archery and indoor handgun, but being in downtown Mississauga, the outdoor ranges may be closed. 25 or 30 years ago they were negotiating with the City for a land swap. Don't know what came of that. Apparently nothing.

do they still operate ..or is it folded?

I, too, would like to know what has happened to my old alma mater.

The last time I was by there, you couldn't make out where the entrance was/is because the 410 extension obstructed your view. I don't even know if Heart Lake Road exists down to where the entrance was.

Prior to that, I had been involved in some meetings/discussions with the City of Brampton. In hindsight, I'd say that the club got well and truly blind-sided by Brampton.

The last time I was actually on the site (about 6-7 years ago) it was abandoned. Behind the white club house there was a large water-filled quarry (ahhh skinny dipping memories!) which was being filled up in order to start contruction of a new residential developement. As a side bar, can you imagine the foundations of these homes in a few years time, having been built over such a water basin.

Anyway, if anyone can provide any info on the club's existence, it would be appreciated.[

The club still exists. The ranges on Heart Lake Road have been long closed and the land sold. The idea was to use the money from the sale of the old land to purchase a building and set up a new range. A long drawn out, expensive lawsuit in which the club was sued, as well as the directors personally, has left us with insufficient funds to build a new range. Presently, the building in Brampton hosts archery activities only since that doesn't require CFO approval.
