Hi guys,

I have two sons I would like to pass on a pair of nice rifles to, they are both into target shooting and I want to give them the best I can.

I'm looking for a set of Brno Match peep sights or Williams peep sights or maybe Ghost peep sights to fit a Brno #2 and a CZ 452 Ultra Lux.

I had a line on these parts down in the states, but he ended up in the hospital, so it may be a while before he gets back into business. The guys name is Denny, some of you might know him.

I was wondering if somebody might have a lead on those parts here in Canada?
Or if you have a dealer in the states that will ship those parts to Canada?

Thanks for your time and trouble.

I ordered sight parts from Denny and never got them. He said he sent them twice. Perhaps they got seized at the border.

If you have an older Brno #2 Manufactured 1946–1957 it will have the 16mm dovetails. If it's during the transition of Brno to CZ manufactured rifles manufactured between 1968-1972 these will have the 11mm dovetails.

I have a Brno #1 and Brno #2 and know the scope dovetails aren't the same, I wasn't aware they had changed the sizes on the Brno #2.

I'm going to have to check to see what size I've got, before I make an order, thanks for the heads up.

I'm a little concerned about your deal with Denny, sorry it didn't go well. There are a few Canadians that dealt with Denny through RimfireCentral.com and had no complaints.

With Denny out of the picture, I don't know where I'm going to find these parts.

I got lot's of nice goodies from Denny before I started running into trouble.

I've seen some Brno's converted to peep sights but these had the side tapped mounts. The Brno #3 and #4 came with 16mm mounted peep sights. Anschutz is 11mm and many of these have peep sights. Brownells will ship to Canada. If you search on there for RECEIVER SIGHTS you'll see some styes of peeps.

Here's a couple of my #1's that were tapped.

I received the sights for my Brno Model 4 from Denny, with no issues at all. J&P makes a ghost ring sight insert for the 452 rear sight, I just installed one on my 452FS.

You can have a Lyman peep modewl 57 made for the Winchester 52 D&T'd like above picture ,works real well, I have a few with this done that are spectacular!cheers Dale Z!

PS Denny is a great guy to deal with, it is he has a life fighting illness to deal with right now, so give him some time, and maybe he will be back in buiness, we hope as he bought out all the BRNO parts when they went out of the bolt action buisness!

I've ordered two different sights for my CZ 425, both from the US.

The first I ordered was from Williams Sights (went right to the source since I wanted target knobs and the price was still good) and they had no problem with sending them to me. The package was opened at some point (I assume customs) and got through fine. I actually had two sights in the order.

The other sights I got were from Denny over at Rimfire Centeral. I recived them with no problem and no open packages. I guess I got lucky. I didn't know he was sick which is very unfortunate. He was great to deal with and the sights are very good (not on the rifle yet but I put them on my air rifle... great improvement in group sizes).

The only other option I know about in Canada is Tech Sights which are apature sights that somewhat simulate US military aperture sights. I forget who has them but one of the sponsored dealers either imports them on order or has a few. They do require new front sights to use them (which come with them).

Very fun rifles that really shine with some decent aperture sights on them. It will be a while before my 452 sees a scope.

I saw the Tech Sights, and scratched them off the list, No knobs.

Williams were looking good until I read something about drilling and tap, I hate like hell to have to drill holes into a Brno or CZ and I already have two guns living at the gunsmith's shop for the past year. There was mention of a 3/8 dovetail but no picture and not sure if it would work on the 11mm.

Anschutz has receiver sites that mention the 11mm dovetail and standard 22, but again no pictures.

I sent Denny a list of goodies that I was looking for about the same time he went in the hospital, so I don't expect to here from him for a while. I can't imagine the backlog of requests that await him, if and when he gets back. Hope he's doing well.
