Not sure if this is the right forum or not?
Maybe under optics?
Maybe time for a "Peep Sight" forum?
If I've erred, please move to the proper forum...........

Was out in the shop and discovered a box of goodies which included
six peep sights or parts there of.
There are no mounting screws for these.
What is shown is what there is.

I'm looking for what they fit and value of each or as a package.
Once I can figure out what is what, I will be posting them in the EE.

Thanks for your interest.
Regards.

Those letters, or numbers, following the model number of the sight, show what rifle they are designed for.
The world used to be full of charts, showing what these sights fit. You could now look in a 62/63 or 64/65 Ellwood Epps catalogue to see a chart, showing what rifle they fit.

The Parker Hale sight is for a sported No. 4 Lee Enfield. It replaces the rear sight, and incorporates a rear scope mount base. If a PH sported No. 4 has a pair of holes drilled and tapped in the receiver ring for the front base, this unit is the matching rear base.

The 57 HVA is the sight made for Husqvarna 1640 series, but it will also fit the M/94 derivatives and even the M/98 "commercial".

If I remember correctly, the 66R is for the Remington 760 and 740. The 66W88 is for the Winchester 88.

Your Redfield seems to be for a flat sided receiver so, seen the hole pattern, it may fit a Win Model 94 or alike.

Thanks Baribal.
How about the Redfield?
That is the tough one to figure out.

I might have been editing when you asked. But as said above, to me, it fits either a Winchecter 94 or Marlin receiver, because of the vertical bolt pattern.

I have 3 lever action rifles with aperture sights on them.

I have problems maintaining elevation properly with conventional open sights.
But even with my progressives for "older" eyes, I can shoot with aperture sights.

I have shot quite a number of 3 shot groups at 100 meters that are 1½" or less.
My 38-55, with the longer sight radius, has produced an occasional 1" group.

I have opted for the use of the Williams "Firesight" as the front sight, since it is
easier to see in poorer light conditions.

My old Marlin 336 has the screw holes this way.................. * *
Not sure if the old 94's go the vertical, but my memory says
this way too. * *

Well, levers are far from being my hotstuff, but I went with images in a catalog, so might it be that these two vertical holed sight be for pre-factory d&t levers?

I'll dig it up deeper tomorrow...

It's what I've done most of the day. Gone through a bunch of books and lernt a thing or two.
The old Bushnell IV, Leupold, Lyman, Redfield, William, Higher end Weaver and Weatherby
scopes were compatible on price.
Whodda thought..............................aye?

Thanks for your interest Baribal.
Sure appreciate your effort.

Be curious to see how this Redfield L plays out.
