PEI crow hunting - rules changing?

Hey you Islanders -

Have the rules for hunting crows on PEI changed yet? I was thinking of heading over in a couple weeks with some shotguns and laying waste to the corvid population, but I won't if I have to buy a licence.

not that i know of yet . i spoke with our biologist this spring and he said rules were coming but we would be consulted first . haven't heard a word since april.

I spoke to someone at accesspei the other day, who referred me to a guy in charlottetown, and he told me that I could go out a shoot as many crows as i want. Said that a license wasn't required, but the rules for hunting with firearms still apply (ie, 200m from any dwelling and whatnot). Ait rifles do not suffer from these restrictions. But i take this with a grain of salt, because when i asked him if it was just crows, or all corvids, he was like "Uhh...corvids?" I said "you know....ravens, magpies, jays....." after about 10 seconds of silence, i was told "I'll get back to you," which he never did :S
