Pencil lead as dry graphite lube

John Deere dealerships will also sell a very large bottle of powdered graphite for $8 ? (Its used as a lubricant for grain / seed drills)
I use a shallow plastic container with #7 shot and some graphite to dip the necks in.

This!
I have a big bottle of so called Seed Slik that cost around 10 bucks and will last many lifetimes.

This is where I got my powdered graphite. I have a close friend who farms. He gave me a bottle that I probably
will not use up in my lifetime.

Motor mica will work too… it’s also available marked up in a Lyman kit

I have motor mica as well, but find it not quite as "slippery" as the graphite. One advantage of the MM is: much
cleaner than Powdered graphite. Dave.

The final summary is get powdered graphite from a farm supply place (mine was from TSC long ago) and use a case neck brush dipped in the graphite for easy neck expanding.
As noted, mica works, but not as well as graphite.

See picture below - names versus "stuff" - was a "Bonanza" "Case Graphiter" - hopefully you can see the words on the motor mica refill sold for the subsequent "Forster Graphiter".
