Am thinking of getting rid of my old Burris Fullfield binos and buying a new set. My Fullfieds have suited me well over the years and were made when the Fullfields were still one of their best bets but an upgrade might be in order.
Have been perusing the various Pentax lines and notice quite a difference price-wise in their various products. Between the DCF HR, DCF WP and the DCF SP I'm noticing a huge difference and was wondering if the price reflected the same difference in optical quality and clarity? Basically, does the roof prism DCF SP in say an 8x43 or a 10x43 offer almost double the bang for the buck than the porro DCF WP does? Price could become an issue but I also don't want to waste the money on the cheaper glass only to be disappointed and be right back in the market for new binos next year.
I guess my question would be, are the DCF WPs a good bino for the money or is it worth it to bite the bullet and spend another $200-250 and buy the DCF SPs?
