Has anyone noticed on the boards lately that there have been numerous people looking for old damaged hand guns or rifles.Yet some of these same people are looking for a Universal or a Bren carrier?(Of course for cheap)

"Any WWII German pistols"

"Any items from _____ period"

ect. ect.

Yes, but there are a lot of people who look for projects, particularily with winter coming up.

I've got a commercial made BSA enfield that I bought a couple of months ago that I plan on fixing up this winter.

Yep,One time I answered a ad from a fellow that was looking for a old lever action to teach a Pal course.After 3 days of communicating back and forth he informed me it wasn't worth the $25.00 to ship since it was made in the 70's

"Weasels" are exactly what they are. Always very few posts, and they "need" something either for free or very cheap, so they "can help people" often "the children".

Anyone falling for this exploitation is a fool.

I think those are wannabe firearm instructors... gotta love those, 2 of my friends had their licence applications denied because their "instructor" was investigated because of questinable testing procedures...as far as im concerned, if you want to teach that course, you should pony up the money and buy half decent stuff...i know the students will damage it etc, but its a cost of doing business

Not when the province dictated to the instructors that they can only charge X amount of money for courses and tests, then turns around and increases their cut, all the while not increasing the cost of the course so that the instructors share is also raised. They just take more from the instructors.

Running the firearms courses is very costly and the instructors are making less and less all the time. They're going to have to cut costs somewhere. Simply stating that it's a cost of doing business isn't exactly fair to the instructors trying to keep the sport alive, who keep making less and less.
