Hi;

Looking at optic options for a tavor x95 and this Burris RT-6 seems to keep popping up in my searches.

Do any of you use this optic? Do you like it? Hate it?

Does Burris make a decent product?

I'm not a big talent at searching for topics that may or may not already exist - if this has been covered elsewhere, thank you in advance for pointing me in the right direction.

The RT-6 is a decent scope for the price. It's not perfect by any means but in that price range it is optically better than the Vortex Strike Eagle line. My biggest complaint is that the turrets are really mushy. I have mine mounted in an Aero Precision ultralight mount. The PEPR will get the job done but it is heavy.

I agree with everything said above. Great combo to get you into the entry level world of LPVO's. Side by side with my Strike Eagle it has better glass. I also removed the PEPR and used the Burris Signature AR series mount for the QD as I like to switch between an Eotech and a scope depending on the day. I went with the combo for the value and put the FF3 on one of my shotguns.

I’ve owned for a bit now, and a strike eagle, side by side, strike eagle has more ‘fish eye’ and the reticle isn’t my personal fave. The rt-6 in the pepper mount sat on my stag 10 for 500+ rounds, sight in at 50yrds, it was consistent in hitting steel to 400 etc.

I’d get a lighter weight mount (aero precision)

i run the RT-6 on a couple of my carbines because I find them to be very good quality for the money. Not only are they optically decent, they are also relatively lightweight. Just don't compromise the optic's light weight by saddling it with a PEPR Mount. They are far too heavy for what they do (QD Cantilever). Go with the Aero Precision mount, or if you really want/need QD then go with the American Defense Recon Mount. Don't get fussed about the turrets being a bit mushy, since they are capped you aren't going to be dialling corrections anyways. Once you are zeroed put the caps back on and use holdovers on the BDC reticle for various distances.

American Defense Manufacturing offset mount w/ throw levers for the win.

Burris &/or Vortex products would be my last choice for any optics to use on any platform.
