Perfect for fixing minor Ruger Stainless scratches...

Passing this tip along for anyone who has a Stainless Ruger (or something with a similar finish)...

RONA has a synthetic steel wool in '000' (Super Fine) - it comes in pre-cut squares and works like magic in removing minor scratches from the finish.

I have a stainless revolver and a few passes with this and I can't tell where I was rubbing as it blends in perfectly with the original finish - oh yeah and the scratch is gone

Just thought I'd add it to the forum for anyone who might want to know

Thanks I have a Ruger KP89 with a few scratches, I hope Home Depot carries the same steel wool, as there is no Rona where I live....

you could try alittle baxing soda with water and buff slowly.

As funny as it sounds I used my finger to rub a fine scratch out of stainless barrel on one of my Remingtons. The rifle has a dull stainless finish mind you, but it worked.
