Permits? - importing a rifle barrel from the US

What permit is required for importing a rifle barrel (for a non-restricted rifle) from the US?

Any idea who issues the permits?

DFAIT to get your import permit and U.S. Dept of State to get an export permit.

2 Export permit. Your exporter will apply for this when you supply him with the import permit.

If you are not buying the barrel from a registered exporter, you will need to find one. I use Leroy's in Glasgow, MT.

damn near off topic but what if a person wishes to send a barrel down to the states to get rebored is there any permit needed ?
