Persistence hunt

For a while when I lived on the coast I would have deer pass within 2 or 3 yards of me at least once every season. I was seriously contemplating trying a spear. Now I live on the prairies where they take off running when you slow your truck from 2km away. Got to admire that little dude, that is a long run.

intense, the last moments of the video were especially intense.
i wonder how many of us would get a licence if one of the tests was running down a whitetail in the prairies :)

For me,this video highlights for me the great disparity between different kinds of hunters. I know guides up here who literally have had to carry "hunters" up the side of a mountain so the "hunter" (who is too out of shape to walk himself), can shoot (often several times) at an unsuspecting goat or sheep 400 yards away. Some guys just don't get that hunting is more than just dropping the hammer on an animal. The hunter in this video clearly gets it though.

Beautiful to see a form of hunting that simplistic. I agree Silverado, makes me wonder why we bicker over how awesome/overpriced Tikka's are.
