Match fees are a sore point for some, and I can see why. There are a lot of factors in play in the set up for a non-profit match. The numbers of targets used and the number of times they will need to be replaced. The amount of new props that need to be built. Clearly older established clubs have the advantage of older equipment on hand. However, even older clubs have to retire old wood and steel, and the costs have to born by the users.
Details of the match would be nice, but frankly I don't think $75 for a three gun is out of line. At the end of the day, it's the number of people who come out the following year that really tells if this years match was a good value.
Just for shizt and giggles, I think I'll shoot the pistol and shotgun for score, and use the R22 for fun in the rifle event if allowed.
