I'm having trouble feeding my 700P. Bolt keeps jamming and wont engage a round. Now i checked to see everything was properly seated , spring pushed all the way in the follower and floorplate and the such. Everythign is as should be. So this got me thinking it would be an unaceptable situation when hunting, so i figured i'd get a DBM system. Badger came to mind, but also PGW. Now i'd rather buy from PGW, but the question is would they sell me just the bottom metal, and would it fit a m700 action, or will it only fit on a PGW action?Is it integrated with the action itself?

Kinda dont know where to look. If no one knows on here, i'll try to write to steve, but they are aparently very busy.

Get a hold of PETE1 on this board. He just put PGW metal bottom and detachable mag on his Rem 700 long action. I'm not sure if PGW has bottom metal that will work on the 700 short action.
 
I got the Timberwolf bottom metal/mag system for my Rem 700 long action.It works great.I don't know what they got for the short action Rem 700.

Oh ya PETE!, is the mag detachable, and how does it disengage? paddle type "switch"?

You should contact Eg Begg at V Bull Precision. They make a bottom metal system that works with AICS magazines I believe. They whole thing runs around $500 but apparently worth every penny. I'll be putting one on my Sendero .300 Win Mag with McMillan A-5 stock, can't wait.
