PGW Coyote vs AI AT

Wow, so much love for the PGW. I'm going to see if someone in Montreal has one so I can get a feel for it, and maybe even shoot it.

I'm not a owner but I do have some experience from the CF as a spectator, & I don't think that I've ever heard or read a negative review? or that it didn't perform above & beyond expectation. The ONLY issue I have is they don't make it in a "left" hand action, LOL. Good luck and remember it's "buy once, cry once". Cheers

That's the only reason I went with a Desert Tech SRS-A1. Otherwise I'd have added one of these to my arsenal.

Thanks for clarification Steve, knew that wasn't exactly right. Procurement is a a real ##### sometimes.

I have never had an issue, and if I did, I would not hesitate to contact Ross or Steve as they would make it right
I actually have bought 4 of them.

Wrong. We took top spot in performance, but couldn't compete on price. The trial guns were snapped up buy a special unit after, what does that tell you...

Had time withd the AI. Great rifle.

Sadly I have only got a little time on the PGWs but the little time I did they where top notch

DGPhotography is the guy to ask. I hit a target at 1050m 2 months back with a PGW 338 and it was really nice. Shot their 50 cal too, INSANE. Kory Teneke is their rep in Ottawa. Stick with the 338.

You will not go wrong with PGW great service and product!

Greek Sniper school approved LMAO! This Grandmother hits 600m gong dead centre first shot!

I have shot both.
I own a PGW Coyote, and love it. Have shot it out to 1000 yards. From an accuracy perspective this gun is competitive out of the box. PGW Coyote is about as good as you can buy in my opinion.
I have built my F-Class gun off a PGW action and barrel, simply because they are about the strongest and most accurate out there.
That they are Canadian, and fantastic to deal with should tip the balance.

I own Coyote and shot both, and they are the same class guns, with one nice difference that coyote has 1:10 twist and out of the box could shoot heavier bullets with outstanding accuracy. And here is another point.
Imagine you have few time left for the next competition and you have unexpected case jam (shooters fault, playing on high pressures). There is no ways to take it out yourself(i mean really). I emailed Ross on Tuesday, send my gun to him on Wednesday and received it back on Tuesday. And all this without any questions asked. There is no way in this universe you will get this service done so quickly and smoothly especially with AI.
And small things like that they add up and you have great accurate gun with top notch service .
The only inconvenience I discover is 8 rounds magazine, so you always have to switch magazine or manually load for some exercises. But wait a bit, soon I will post mag extensions for 10 rounds made purely for competition purposes and working on top of original magazines.

PGW is now making 10rd mags.

What is the internal magazine length of the Coyote? I read 2.880" but I don't own one.

The AT/AW mags are 2.985"

It would be super nice if they came left handed wouldn't it.

Besides the action bonding, this is what makes AI's action unique and is the reason you can just buy a barrel, screw it on and go shoot. Headspace is set with this breech ring which is pinned into the receiver. There are old AW rifles out there with 80,000 rounds on the receiver. The armorers just install a new breech ring and bolt head when needed and back out it goes. This pic if from a Badger action which is an AI copy.

Of course AI is awesome but I'd go with PGW - made in Canada; absolutely OUTSTANDING service, hold value well and exceptional out-of-box accuracy. Currently own two - Coyote and Timberwolf would like to add the 50 one day :)

Schumy, I don't own a coyote, but I do have its big brother if you have yet to find someone with one in the area. I'm an hour away from montreal, but I'm there every second day. If you would like to Se the feel, fit and finish of a PGW, I would be happy to let you get some hands on :)
