Anyone heard of PGW??? I've tried to get in touch with them by e-mail and no answer after a couple of them...

They could at least respond, especially when your asking infos about a 5000$ rifle your interested in....

I know they must be busy but.... If they don't need to sell to individuals, they should come out and tell it.

Too bad, still waiting for an answer....:(

Give them a call. They ARE busy cranking out rifles for the CF, but they still do have a 'commercial' arm of the company.

Emails are not the preferred form of communication for a lot of serious businesses. I'm sure they would be more than happy to answer your questions by phone.

This thread completely aside, I would have to say the complete opposite.
At least with an email there is a paper trail.
It's the information highway kids, get on it or get run over by a Mac truck.

Don't hold your breath guys. I tried and my friend tried to get in touch with them a few months ago. No reply. I even PM steve about their LRT 2...nothing. I tried to track down a phone # and they are not listed anymore. Why don't just get rid of their site if they do not want to be contacted or respond to e-mail.

I am with 6mm. There is nothing worse than having a website with a e-mail address to contact the said party and there are never any responses. If a business is to damn busy hire someone else to help out. At least acknowledge receipt, get rid of the site, or say so on the site that would prefer phone calls only.

I remember a thread in the last few days about Canadians not using Canadian components or gunsmiths. My idea is you snooze you loose. Whoever will help me the fastest gets my bid be it Cdn or American.

I may have been wrong defending PGW on a AmericanForum site. There were rumors floating around the site that they had gone t**s up. I said no way. Maybe I am wrong and they have??????? It never fails. Ignore the little guy and concentrate on the big guy...............

I think you guy's need to pull your head out of your A--.Steve and Ross are the best in the business and if you new them personally you would understand.Do you really think they have time right at this moment to build many custom rifles. They are very busy with the CF contract and As time goes on the will continue to build custom rifles for individuals.

Perhaps then they should post a simple message on their webpage stating they are too busy to take other business. I tried to contact them about TPS scope rings, but never received a reply. If they are too busy, fine, but it is annoying to try and contact someone who appears to want your business, and then not receive any reply.

I e-mailed them about some stuff they are/used to be distributors for.
The response came in about a week. They do not do it anymore and they recommended somebody else.
During that week, I remembered to check Joe's site. Amazed - ### Int. deals the rings I was looking for. Called him - paid - and got the whole thing at my door before the e-mail arrived form PGW.
I appreciate them (PGW) answering the mail and recommending the competition for something they had no interest in.
Seems they are too busy. It is understandable. Maybe there's a gap need' fillin' by other great gunsmiths.

Well, i'm not really mad at them, but i think that it would be easier if they would post on their site that they are temporarily too busy to answer...

A reputation is hard to built and very easy to loose. Putting an updated info on their website would maybe take them minutes (if not seconds) and it woud make us continue to keep all the respect they deserve for being one of the best and for provinding our Forces with their super fine rifle.

They should not forget that they're maybe the best, but it all happened because INDIVIDUALS first acquired their rifles instead of other's (U.S. companies..etc.)

I truly believe that we should always support a business in our country first, but this works both ways....

I find this attitude to be very common among gun businesses. They don't really want to get involved in the internet, but get talked into putting up a web site that they seldom update, and seldom check their e-mails.
It's very frustrating to call a company about something on their site only to have them say "We haven't had that for months!" in a don't bother me tone.
As for the outfits that never answer their e-mails, Collector's Source lost a several hundred dollar sale to me last fall because they couldn't be bothered to answer my e-mails, and don't even mention Applied Tactical Stocks!
On the other hand companies like Wheeler's and IMA jump to the pump on my orders and get repeat business.

It can be very frustrating trying to spend my money online!
