Phoenix Arms HP22 anyone?

Just curious if anyone has any experience?

I have read all the the mixed reviews, and it seems they have come along way.

I am tempted to give one a try for the price.

Anyone own, or know anyone that does?

I bought one second hand. Here's my experience with it:

All around, its a fun gun. There is no mincing words, it is a cheap gun. It's not without its flaws: I had to superglue the firing pin safety to fix it, and most people modify the magazine safety as well. On the upside, it eats up most ammo, and is plenty accurate to boot. Good news is, if it breaks, parts are cheap.

I say buy it, blast it, and have fun.

I have one that is completely new, (even with Phoenix logo flash-badge in plastic) sitting in the box. Took it to the range and fired 18 shots. I can't stand the safeties and refuse to alter the gun in any way. I love the feel and look of the little sucker......and I mean LITTLE sucker but really hate the safeties. Probably sell it in 5 years when they become uber-trendy for some reason.
