Can I use a passport photo for my PAL Application?

Passport photos are different dimensions than PAL photo. You could cut them down to size.

Passport is 2.75x2”
PAL is 2.25x1.75”

That works or as suggested before make a cell phone pic your self its all good

I guess my point was that one needs to read the faq's regarding the PAL/RPAL Picture requirements.
There are several of which one is the size and the background colour as well.

Yes. I have done that.

I took a passport photo to mail in but then applied online with a phone selfie. Worked and was much quicker.

3 yrs ago ,I think, I just took a picture on the lap top camera , no idea what size it was ( looked full page)
Just sent it off with the on-line stuff and in about 3 weeks had my new card.
I was a bit surprised actually

I just take a selfie against a white door. Next one I'm doing it on the toilet.

I sent mine in digitally last time shirtless so they could take a gander. They cut it down and enlarged to fit lol

I was unsure if a cell phone self photo would work but I just made sure my lighting was good and no shadows on my face (sunlight and lights on to counter shadow) along a white wall in the shop and it was accepted. Easy to upload that way and did not cost anything!
