Looking for recommendations for my Savage Model 12 F/TR.
Not having munch luck finding any picatinney bases in my neighbourhood.
Can anyone give me advise on types and where to get them?

Farrell or Near.

Available direct. Also available from Mystic and Brownells.

Brownells also has some other options including Badger, Brownells, EGW, Lightforce, Mounting Solutions, and Warne.

whatever you pick for your base, make sure you epoxy it onto the reciever with JB weld, because they tend to come loose over time.

If you ever want to take it apart - and why would you - just put it in the oven for about 15 minutes at 300f

And rings are key

Get the burris signature rings with the little spherical rings inside to make sure you never bend your scope.

If you go with the usual type, make sure you lap them once installed to the rail.

I was sent, and billed of course, extra Farrel 20moa one piece bases.
PM me if you want one.

You can get pictinney bases from Corleans, Rocky Mountain Rifles in Dawson Creek. They will have to order them from Talley in the US. They will have to be custom machined by Talley, be prepared to wait and be prepared to pay a lot. I have a set of pictinniey bases on order from them as we speak for my Browning Stainless 300WSM A bolt Target Rifle.

Apparently TheMoose has understood the rules for Long Range/Precision Shooting Competitions, in that he hasn't re-posted. But the 5 following posters don't, and rise to the bait like a largemouth bass.

BTW, Burris Signature rings suck if you switch from rifle to rifle. The crossbolt breaks after 2 or 3 uses.
