Anyone know where I can buy one of these rails for my remington 700 in Canada?

(7mm magnum - so I'll need a long action one)

I've just about got my new aics based rifle done - just the optics and rail left, so any help would be appreciated!

dak.

They may not be in Canada but George has no problem shipping to Canadians.

Check google for EGW {Evolution gun Works} I have bought at least 5 x 20MOA bases if I remember right they were $34 -36 each. CNC machined anodized aluminum. Rem 700 SA/LA , Win M70 SA/LA, Tikka T3, Savage, M98 mauser. Maybe more available!

You might want to consider the materials you are purchasing as well.

TPS makes their alum bases out of 7075 (aircraft grade ultra strong) and steel.

EGW and Farrell make their alum out of a softer lower grade alum 6061 material. They also work but just are not made from the same grade of high strength material. Farrells are thick so that helps retain some extra strength.

We have the Long Action TPS bases in stock as well as some Farrell bases.

EGW makes a picatinny rail for the T3:confused:

How could I have forgotten about Warne. They are also a reasonably priced base which we also stock.

I have 2 of Richard Near's base. Built like a tank and outstanding craftsmanship. RCMP ERT has them on their rifles as well as some work guns south of the border.

I just bought a base for my 700 from Joe @ ###. It is the TPS steel base and you can't beat the price/quality plus the service that ### will give you. My 2 cents.

Well I think you'll find if they are true picatinny spec they are all tank tough and dimensionally equal within reason.

Differences in material - Al7075 for one make them stronger then 6061 and lower grades of products out there.
