Picatinny Scope Ring????

OK. I really have no idea what this would be called so I'll describe it as best i can..

I want to mount a Docter red dot on my long 6-24X50 for targets under 6X.

I don't want to go through the hassle of getting the Larue cantelever mount that has the option of the picatinny top ring.

What I am really looking for is a ring that I can mount to the scope barrel ONLY that has a smal picatinny rail on it for the Docter.

Anyone have:

1- ANY idea what I am talking about
2- ANY idea if such a thing exists

It needs to be higher to clear the adjustment knob on my scope...

you know you can cant it to 1:30 so the Doc Optic is between the elavtion and windage knob all you do is tip the rifle to the left and band you are on Target

that is if you are a Right handed shooter

You do realise that mounting anything to you barrel will affect your point of aim and may also affect overall accuracy as you have just messed with your barrel harmonics.

Just a thought............

I thought about that, but it's gonna make zeroing it (even at 30M) a PIA as going up wil require a turn on both axis etc etc...

Might be my only option short of getting an ACOG tho...

Try this for an option...Burris tactical rings have an optional top ring half that has a picatinni base machined on to it that would allow the mounting of another optic on top of the original scope. The tactical rings are $73 for the one inch and $79 for the 30mm (both sold in pairs). The picatinni ring top is available for 1 inch and 30mm for $29.00 (only 30mm in stock at this time). Phil.
