Picked up a .22-250

Hey guys and girls,
Just picked up an old Mauser 98 sporter in .22-250. The gun was made in '42 in Berlin, Germany. Anyone have a sporterized 98? Do you like the gun? The one that I have is definately meant to be a target rifle because of the heavy thumbhole stock, and fixed 10x scope. Just wonderin if you guys like yours, and how would you price an average sporter.

My buddy had one and just sold it. Good gun. I saw him knock down a running jack at 200 yards on the first shot with it a few years back and was just in awe. Had to see the shot to believe how it went down. Long cool story.
