Was lucky enough to find one of these beauties at P&D last week. Phil was kind enough to hold it a couple of days until I could get in to pick it up. New for 2010, this is one nice looking rig. First thumbhole I've ever owned, I was a bit worried it might not fit my hand. On the contrary, it fits like a glove. The stock style is fantastic (very similar to a Boyd's Evolution) and the spiral fluted barrel is a great addition for this new model.

Haven't had it to the range yet but will report back when I have. Mounted an extra Elite 3-9x40 I had for now but have both an Elite 3200 4-12 and a Fullfield 4.5-14 on the way to see which I like better. Also have a VX-iii 6.5-20 enroute in the event I want more magnification.

Yup
A great looking rifle, accutrigger, should be an outstanding shooter. When are you going to shoot it? FS

Will be sure to post report once she's been broken in.

Greg, not sure when I'll be getting out. Just starting back for a week on at work so will be a while before I can get out to Genesee looks like unfortunately. Damn weather hasn't exactly been cooperating either .

Picked up the same model today. Will try some 17gr Hornady. I sure like the grip. It features a "palm-swell" on both sides of the grip, so the left handed shooters might find it handy. If it shoots as well as it looks, I'll be happy.

Interesting rifle...a bit too "spacey" for me but should shoot like a darn...as most good HMR's do. Your going to want the Vari-X 6.5X20 on that puppy though. Nice to see those varmints come appart at 20X!

I'm a lefty and love shooting a RH bolt from a rested position or a bench. You never take your hand off the grip! But standing or prone it's better with the LH bolt. Very nice rifle though.

Very nice indeed! Haven't seen that model yet either.
I have a 597 yellowjacket, and despite it being the most ugly stock in the world, once you pick it up, even with that palm swell, it is just about the most comfortable stock you can find.

I wonder how much weight that spiral fluting knocks off compared to their standard bull barrel?
