Picked up some ammo for my Mossberg 500 12g

I picked up a Mossberg 500 12g 3 barrel combo a few weeks ago. With this being my first shot gun I am dying to test it out! I went to Canadian tire today to buy some slugs but they didnt carry any Rem Copper Soilds. So insted of slugs I picked up;

Winchester Universal 2-3/4 4 shot
Federal upload load 2-3/4 7.5shot

I was told by a guy also buying ammo that these are good for practice with clays and what not so I picked them up.

Anyone use these types of ammo with the mossberg 500?

Sucks being in the city and having very little selection or places to buy ammo. I guess ill be hitting up BPS shortly!
 
try al simmons gun shop in hamilton. its on locke st (i believe) which is WAY closer and quicker to get to than bps.
 
also...where in burlington are you. im in b-town as well, and am just starting the process of getting all licensed up. have you gone to any of the clubs around here? let me know if you find a local place thats good, i'll be looking in a couple of months! :)

yah iv been there a few times a great place! but close early and not open weekends :( So im out of luck when i get home from work. I hope to stop in soon if i can.

I goto Silverdale. I love that place! $20 if your not a member. The girlfriend lives minutes away from the waterdown gun club aswell. I have a co worker who is a member there who is willing to take me.

Heck im going to Silverdale tomorrow to fire off some rounds :D
 
I've shot off about 500 rounds of the Federal 7.5 this season through my 500, and have not had a single round fail to feed, extract, or fire. For target or bunnies, you're good to go!
