Not the best photo's but I thought I would share a few pics of my newest toy, a Colt 6945. I have installed a Troy rear sight, A Magpul AFG and made a few necessary (in my mind anyway) changes. Stock grip was swapped out for a MIAD, stock charging handle was swapped out for a BCM unit and I put a Norgen ambi mag release on it. I am keeping the original parts, in case I want to put it back to bone stock at some point down the road. I will probably put a SE Vortex on it in the near future as well as an Aimpoint T1 micro and Larue mount.

A close up of Colt's new stock, which I am really digging. Very solid with no rattle, my biggest pet peeve with most AR stocks.

Really looking forward to putting some rounds downrange with this!

Very nice! Spend the money. Afterall, you can't take it with you. Obviously, you were willing to pay whatever it took to get what you want. Enjoy it!

I have had a few people asking in PM's so I will post this here to answer them all. This gun was purchased from Questar International. They managed to get a permit approved for 3 guns after 2 years of trying. One of these was kept by Questar, the other 2 were put up for auction on Gunauction.ca. I was one of the 2 high bidders. They have indicated that the possibility of getting another permit approved at this time is very unlikely. They do have some 6940's currently for sale for $1960. These are the same gun as the 6945 except with a 16 inch barrel.
