Will this stock work with an SKS-D and their AK mags?
It sure will!
I already posted this in another thread, but here it is installed on my SKS-D. Along with a ventilated hand guard, also from Hical.
Sorry for the crappy picture, I'll take some more in better light.
I haven't installed the SKS-D mag-well yet because I need to figure out a way to anchor the front of it. Actually, the magazines seem to rock in fairly well without the mag-well after some minor filing.
It'll take a bit of work with a Dremel and some more filing to install the mag-well but nothing major.
SKS Stock
Got mine today and have it installed. It is the nicest sks stock out there in my opinion. I have the 20 round tapco mags and it looks great. Feels great also, I like it better than the tapco and ATI stocks. Would have been nice to incorporate rails on the front guard for that price. However it is meant to look like an AK stock and they have no rails on them so it keeps it more authentic looking. I dont care as I like iron sights on an sks anyway. Save the Eotech's for the AR!! I have a new love for my sks!!!

Came in and got mine today!!! Very beefy, feels really solid and fits like a glove. Only things I don't like, the buttstock doesn't sit completely solid, I can still get a #### hair of movement back and forth (it's not bad though, nothing like wobble in my old ATI side folder) and the cheek riser was a right bugger to pull up...I actually had to pry it up with a wrench. Can't wait to go try it out!
