Let's see some pics of what you're planning to use on the bruins this spring.

This was my winter project, now rebuilt and ready to go:
It'll probably end up being more of a camp gun, but I want to try it.

here's my spring bear gun, my Remington m700 Titanium 30-06 with Leupold VXII 3-9x40, shooting Lapua 200 gr. Mega bullets

I will be using my 375 H&H mag for bears this year, hopefully grizzly if I get a tag. But I suppose I'll also keep an eye out for a big black or brown also.

Its the one 4th from the top that has iron sights too.

I've sold or traded the rest on the pic except the semi. Old pic;)

Here are my main guns.

The rifle is a M-77 in .30-06 newly free floating Bbl. with a Bushnell 3200 3X9X50. This spring I plan on using my own reloads for the first time!

My "Ya think it's dead?'' shotgun is a Mossberg 500 witch I "made" my self using an old field gun and a lot of Duracoat.

Hey, somebody had to post a bow pic. :)

RC

'curve is my "go to", longbow the backup.
Way tooooooooo funnybut at least now you have a REAL coyote rifle.

BTW Has anyone heard from old OMG lately?
Who knows???:p

I haven't seen or heard him online, but there are plenty of forums that I dont' go to, maybe he is on one of them!!;)

I dont' think he comes here much, because, unlike the more 'civilized' forums, CGN has always been a bit rough and tumble, and I doubt he would last long here.....

Hey Popcan,
Tell us more about your 12 gauge. It looks nice!

That there is an old High Standard Brush King that I bought off the board last year as a project gun. 12g 18" bbl, 6 + 1 with Williams sights.
I had to clean her up, take the bolt all apart, and buy a few parts from Numrich, some springs, firing pin, this and that. She's ready to go now, and I'll be testing it this week at the cabin. I like the design because when the action is closed, the shell lifter is tucked up out of the way, and makes for easier loading. Only a single action bar though, as opposed to the twins on an 870. Still, I think they were reputed to be reliable.

Popcan,
Will you be using BUCKSHOT?:)

No question, I will be alternating buck and slug... but I don't know which

should be used for the first shot? !!!   help!

I don't hunt for Yogi or Boo-Boo, but to discourage them from hunting me I carry my 1300 while in the bush, fishing, etc.

I keep a combination of buck and slugs in the magazine and in the sidesaddle. Many would complain that it's a little on the heavy side but I've been carrying it for several years and am not bothered by it. I'd feel more uncomfortable without it.
