Picture of surefire on 590a1... anyone have one ?

I don't think they have one for the 590 A1 Wes, just the Compact. I thought the bayo lug prevents using it.

on the web site they say that the bayonet lug needs to be removed.... I was wondering if anyone has done it and if so what it looks like.

either way I have a surefire headed this way for me, so I will find out soon enough I guess.

Side mount looks better for lighting up your front sight as well as your target. Isn't it hard to aim with a shurefire if your sights are in the dark?

your still going to see the contrast from your sights, same as with a pistol...... do you see these tactical guys running around with headlamps because they are afraid they might not be able to see thier sights ??

Your sights work just fine with a Surefire, trust me.

No, but maybe they have fancy glow in the dark sights? I'm not trying to stir things up just curious I've never seen a surefire but I've wondered how good they would be with regular sights. I just checked out my 590A1 with a flashlight held below and beside. You are correct you can indeed see the contrast of the sights with the light below, but on the side the front sight glows orange and is even easier to see. Also depending on the surrounding lighting it's not always easy to see the sights from what I've tried. Tritium sights would help alot.

well since no one else had a picture here is one of my mossberg finished, the bayonet lug did indeed have to come off, but I will not miss it.... after all how many bears can a guy spear with a bayonet eh.

sight picture is fine with the surefire as it sits and it does a very good job of lighting things up..... 60 lumen lamp in the surefire for now.
