Only saw one moose? That's too bad, as that river country looks great for calling swamp donkeys.
Great photos Richard. Last year on our seven or nine day sheep trip we saw a few Ewes and lambs but only one ram and he was only 3/4 curl. That was hard to accept at first as I was sure that kind of dedication would have brought more to the table. Davey's Dad wisely explained how sometimes that is just the way hunting goes. It's those trips where you have to cherish those crisp mornings, good stories and jokes told with your hunting buddies and just enjoying being away from the slave trade for a spell. That was all it took for me to hear and I came home with a totally different perspective to it.

Nice country. Where were you?
I wish I could get out again for moose but the 12hr drive with two trucks and fuel for two jet boats is a little much to do twice a year.
We'll try for deer a little closer to home in Nov.

Ouch, Nugget and I felt that pain a couple years ago on our moose trip. It ain't cheap!
For sure focus on those warm fuzzy feeling of the trip then. Next year book to be up there longer??????
Had the 21H been there they would have come out in swarms begging to be the first kill notch cut in that stock.

We were somewhere around PG but not on the Nechako like my screen name would suggest. My Dad and his buddies have been hunting here for well over 30yrs.
I'm sure the moose would have come out for the 21H, moose have good taste when it comes to rifles.
This is me with my ZG-47 in a swamp we hiked into.
If anybody is wondering, the camera I used for the pictures is a Lumix LX3.
