Pictures of AR feed ramps

I was looking to buy a A3 Flattop Upper, With M4 Ramps.

So, I wanted to make sure this barrel had true M4 barrel extension.

It looks similar to the pic I found on ARF.com website, but I wanted to make sure.

It looks like a standard rifle barrel extension to me.

Good thing I didn't buy the upper I was looking at.

How hard is it to change out a bbl extension, if I can't find the flat top upper I need.

Bascially you can't swap out the barrel extension. It is pinned in place when the gun is headspaced and the gas port is then drilled to line up with it. A new extension may not index properly with the now drilled gas port and then you're pretty much hooped.

FWIW: M4 extensions will not do a thing in a semi-auto, and it is questionably effective in full auto. I'd wait for the correct upper for your barrel. They're out there.
