Hi, guys! I am interested in getting my first cap and ball revolver in .36 cal. I can’t find any good places that have a decent selection in Canada except for marstar. I handled a 1862 pocket Navy a couple days ago but the grip is a bit small. Would this 1861 Army Sheriff be a decent one to start with? If anybody can recommend any good websites where I can buy cap and ball revolvers would be appreciated.

I have an 1851 Navy in .44; great fun and absolutely accurate!!! These are not as heavy as the "army" pistols.
 
I have two 36 ‘s a pocket police and Hartford model. Nice little guns to shoot. I never really liked the full sized guns in 36. The Pocket police I have shot it out to 50 meters and was pleasantly surprised that I could hit the gongs consistently. Not much for recoil. Balls can be hard to find but I make my own so not a problem.
 
I have a 1971 made 1861 Uberti (Replica Arms) Sheriff Model in .36 caliber of course. Not too big and not too small. It's the percussion six gun I have that is the most fun to shoot.
 
Thanks guys, have you guys had any trouble with the short loading lever on the short barrel revolvers? I know there is tools that can give you more leverage.
