Pietta 1873, 45lc, 45acp with moon clips possible?

Hey guys, I'm looking for some help here. I just received a new Pietta 1873 in 45 long colt. I know there are a few SAA models that shoot either 45lc and 45acp. I have a large supply of 45acp, and a 45acp rd measures out perfectly to fit inside the 45lc cylinder, minus the fact of having no rim to keep it from falling down the cylinder. Does anyone know if there is moon clips for 45acp in a 1873?
 
I believe you need a new cylinder. Not sure if it's something to do with the barrel/forcing cone as well. I know that Ruger offers a special Distributor's versions that comes with a 45ACP cylinder as well as the 45LC. Too bad the 45LC model weren't all like that else I'd be all over that like white on rice.
 
I can't see using .45ACP with the cylinder made for .45Colt, the chamber necks down to the bullet size near the front of the chamber so if you shot .45ACP there would be a gap between the chamber wall and the bullet until it hit the necked part. I am just guessing now but that could lead to gas erosion of the chamber and a loss of pressure to propel the bullet.
The cost of .45 Colt has caused me to reload my own so I bought some dies to do .45ACP as well using the same bullet for both (hard cast lead .452 round nose). The accuracy is very good for both the 1873 and the 1911.
 
Not possible. I know of nobody who makes cylinders for the gun. You have a 45 Colt go shoot it or sell it. The Ruger sells a combo unit.

I bought a 45lc version because I have reloading setup in transit that's setup for 45lc already, which I plan to use quite abit. Pietta does actually make a 45acp cylinder for this exact gun, it must just not be as popular as I've never seen a complete one for sale. The part number is
