What's the deal on Pietta revolvers?
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly? Anyone here have one?
Price is decent ($479.00), I think I might get one in .357/.38

I find it difficult to find a Ruger without target sights, also the Ruger is based on a .44 frame is it not? I have not seen the Pietta but I find the Rugers a bit big, I had one (never fired it as it was an investment) I liked it but still a bit chunky. Can you get a nickel finished Ruger in that price range?

I had one in .45 colt for a while and just recently sold it. Fit and finish are superb, pretty accurate, decent trigger, all around nice guns for the price.

Pietta SAA's

Been thinking about getting the 5 1/2" Pietta SAA in .357 Magnum myself. Suppose a guy has to settle for the nickel one with the wood grips. Would really like to get a 4 3/4" or 5 1/2" blue/case hard .357 Mag with walnut grips to go with the 2nd gen Colt SAA I already have... If they were available in that configuration in the .357...

But if Hitzy gives the Pietta SAA's the thumbs up that's good enough for me... ;)
