There was a bunch in Alberta at one point and its still open season on them, just standard hunting rules apply like no half hour after dark etc., Course from what I've heard they aren't like the ones in the states. Uncle shot one at a much closer range then anyone would consider sane with a 30-06, and it was hit well, basically a perfect shot, and chased him till it dropped.
