Where in Canada can I find pillar bedding sleeves and gel epoxy? I have ordered from Brownells for years but when I ran out of Acraglas and tried to reorder they no longer ship it up here.
Thanks

I've used JB Weld.
Make my pillars on the lathe, but I've heard of people using the little threaded pipes used to mount light sockets in lamps.

I use JB Weld and 5/16" x 5/16 brass hose fittings cut to fit. Both can be sourced from that online big river store.

Did you try to order the non-flammable version?

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I really want to thank Rusty Wood Trading Company. He is turning me a couple sets of pillars on his lathe and has the Acrsglas Gel kits for bedding. I've used JB weld many times with great success but wanted to be able to die the epoxy to match the stock on this one.
Thanks again to all who contributed with your experience and valuable suggestions

I see Rusty Wood has come to your rescue.

That being said, the automotive section at Canadian Tire has small fibreglass kits that will last the rest of your life

One of my favorite bedding pillar materials is made from Aluminum/Titanium Arrow shafts, which come in different diameters.

Any archery shop or gun shop that sells the arrows and cuts them to custom length for customers, will have a box full of the left over shaft ends.

They're very easily cut to the lengths needed and a hand drill with a file will trim the ends perfectly.

Just a bit of info for the next job.

^^^^ What they said ^^^^...arrow shaft pcs and ferules work great ! The lamp ferules have great "tooth" for the bedding to grip onto...few gouges down inside the stock holes will help as well

Nothing magic about pillar bedding tubes. A rough exterior improves the bond.

Had good luck with this
