Pillar- or Glass-Bedding a Sako 85 Wood Stock

Does anyone here have experience in re-bedding a Sako 85 wood stock--with pillars or just glass? The 85's weird recoil lug arrangement would seem to make the usual bedding procedures unworkable. Could you bed under the metal insert?

Any suggestions? To be honest, I'm not sure pillar- or glass-bedding is necessary, but with the unusual recoil-lug setup in the 85s, I'm wondering whether the whole arrangement can be made tighter and stronger.

I kind of doubt you will see any difference with that stock if the screws are tight to start with... pillared or glassed... as long as the barrel is floated...
