Im trying to set up schedualed pin shoots at my local fish and game club. But the only problem is that each pin costs me $2. Should I charge for the day of pin shooting to help lower the cost of buying pins out of my own pocket? What would be a good price to get people out, but not to rip them off.

Im thinking if there is about 5-10 guys showing up, Ill need 10 or more pins.

How we play is that you have to knock them down and off of the stand they are on. For .22 handguns you just have to knock them down. Calibers are anything from 22 to .44mag.

You should definitely charge. If you do it for free, you're ripping yourself off and next time; they'll expect it for free.

$5 a head is a fair price for a fun shoot like that. If anyone argues, ask them where they can have that much other fun for $5?

Any profits go in the kitty towards a social at the end or maybe some awards.
 
1 dollar per line is the fee for this area, shoot as many lines as you want in a day
spend 5 bucks, 25 bucks , whatever you like
 
$5.00 for a couple of tables would be a good price. Don't let the people with the 44 mags. at them first as a 44 can tear them up to fast. Use the 22 first. 9mm, 38super, 40s and 45 acp after the 22's. When they get good and shot up and too heavy for the handguns get some shotgun action going with them. If you have more than one bowling alley in the area try to get pins at all of them. We get ours free. Event you can try: Single person- 22 or centre fire handgun 22 on back edge of the table

If you have two tables you can go to man on man, first one to clean the table.

Our range doesnt have tables for pin shoots, as other people would shoot the living sh*t outta them. Instead we have huge railroad type logs. I placed 5 pins on the logs last time and we shot them with two 9mm, a 22 and a 45 auto. Its funny because only the 9mm slugs were going into the pins, everything else wasnt.

Im going to create a little website and type some stuff up, then present it to the club presedent when I see him again.
 
What kind of bowling pins do you have???? Are they made out of wood or are they the plastic ones. Have shot literally thousands of bowling pins and 22, 9mm, 45 acp all penetrate the pin. If your 22's and 45's are not penetrating they might come back at you.
 
charge a few bucks to cover costs it is alot of fun you will want to do it all the time. if you could use a couple of saw horses and a piece of plywood for a table it would be better it is alot more of a challenge to knock them completely off the table than just knocking them over but do what you can and have fun
 
locally, its done on a 4x8 sheet of OSB board
1 foot from the front of the table for centerfire, 1 foot from the back for rimfire
shotgun vs shotgun, pistol vs pistol, or 2 person teams, shotgun and pistol
The team member who shoots the pins OFF off the table can help their partner
1 table per shooter, 4 pins- best time gets bragging rights, 1 dollar a shoot is charged
