So I wanted to change my sks wood stock to a T6 stock. Now I have taken my wood stock off before for cleaning, but never have had to take the wood off of the gas chamber! So I set out to it. I had some trouble finding the pin and after some time I found it covered by paint. Now I don’t think I was think strait that day but I damaged the pin up pretty badly. So I went on line to look to see if any one new the right size for the pin. Some people said to use a nail and ground it down. I found that this would leave a little space for movement and then the pin could fall out. So I took my set of drill bits and I found that a 1/8 or just a hair under that would work just fine. It was a little hard to get it so I made a point at one side of the drill bit so than it would slide in perfect.

I would love to know what other people think of this or what they have done to make their pin work!

Thanks
Mark

Go get a set of METRIC drill bits if you want to use them to check the size of the bore.
Russians as all europeans except the UK have NEVER used any imperial sized tools for production. I would say the size is 3mm.
