Pinned muzzle brake help

Once again as you know I'm a little new to AR's

So here's the deal. My new AR 16" has a pinned muzzle brake on it. I don't like it. I found one I do like. Am I allowed to get it removed and install the one I like? I mean it's pinned for a reason right? Is it a legal issue?

Not looking to get flamed or trolled!

USA requirement on barrel length so not to make it a sbr, muzzle device is pinned for barrel length
Has no impact for Canadian requirements since ARs are restricted regardless of barrel + muzzle device length
remove away and have fun
