Hi, I just got my new Glock 22 and I was wondering what is the best way to pin or limit Glock mags to meet the 10 round max?

Have you looked to see how many rounds the mag holds? They usually come factory made to hold 10 rounds.

I have pinned mine via 1/8 rivet through the #14 witness hole. Then I filed the rivet down from the inside so it is just long enough to catch the follower but does not interfere with the spring. Not sure if this is the best way, but it does seem to work.

I thought that they all came into Canada "pre-pinned" ?

Not if they were disassembled. A magazine is not a magazine until it is assembled.

So would you get into some SERIOUS trouble if you had a 17-round Glock mag unpinned? I have a feeling you'd get in more trouble with an unpinned mag at the range than somebody with a knife who stabbed somebody to death.
