Pinning HK91 mags

I was given a couple of 5/20 HK91 mags recently. They have a wooden block epoxied to the floor plate as a filler. Probably not the best method I could think of.

Can anyone tell me the proper distance down to drill and place a rivet? Should a rivet be placed on the spine like an AR mag, or is there a better method for HK mags?

if it works leave it I allways try to pin mags internally i hate to dammage the bodies not to mention often rivits in the bodis stick out and rub magwells makeing them non drop free

really, what does it matter, as long as it is legal. We cant take them out and shoot them anyway!!!!!
