i finally found the problem with my Beretta -pintail.
It wasn't loading the third and sometimes the second shells unless it was freshly cleaned and lubed.i've polished the inside of the action and done everything i could think of as well as talking to my local gunsmith.

After searching on the net i came up with some other people who have had the same problem- some of these guns were sent with weak recoil sptings.I called Stoeger/Beretta Canada and was sent a new recoil spring free of charge, to my surprise.
i would say the action closes almost twice as fast as it did now with the new spring. Now i just have to go try it out on some geese.

Good to know.
How many rounds before yours starting acting up?

I've only used mine for trap and patterning/play so far, barely 250 rounds.

Mine has been flawless, and I like it a lot.

it has been happening since the gun was new-2002.after every hunt i was cleaning it and could manage maybe 10 rounds before it would start acting up.i learned to make every shot count.the action is smoother than a babies bottom.
I questioned the guys at the Stoeger booth 2 years ago at the sportsman show in TO and they weren't aware of any problems then with the Pintails.

i received the spring 3 days after making the call to Stoeger- Peter
