Pioneer pellet gun

Hi all
I am hoping that someone can help me determine the muzzle velocity if this pellet gun. I need to determine whether it under or over 500 fps. It is being given to someone who does not have a PAL.

It's a Pioneer .177 no.36432 made in China. That's all the info I have. I tried to attach photos but not sure if they will be part of this post.

I have a pioneer also, was sold it classified as Non restricted, but clocked it in the high 400s, cant recall exactly what it was, but its close to the cut off

Seven joules of energy is equivalent to 5.16 FPE. A pellet that weighs 8.5 grains with a muzzle velocity of 495 fps has 4.63 FPE.

While some Chinese PCP's are inexpensive and yet require a PAL, I'm unaware of Chinese break barrel rifles sold in Canada that did.
