I hope thats a joke.......................
If not I hope you didn't pay to much.........

The Webley .455 revolvers had bayonets during WW1. But, they had stocks attached to the pistol grip. I have the stocks, and have tried to contact the canadian war museum to donate one for thir collection. They have a display with the pistol and bayonet without the stock "going over the top".

That looks like an accessory Homer Simpson would have been interested in when he bought his gun. Completely useless.

We also fought in trenches and engaged in massive wave attacks over open ground. Bayonets are useless tools. More of an intimidator than anything. Completely useless on a handgun. Do tell, how does one holster such a beast?

I'd like a set of pistol nun chucks.

I'm just funnin' RL1 - for a knife enthusiast like yourself I can understand why you would want such a novelty. :)

Carefully.

Actually you hear the same type of criticisms about an SMG with a bayonet, ie. what do you need that for.... Wellllll, at what distances are engagements with an SMG or for that matter a pistol? Close. With a pistol a lot of times, it's contact distance.

A knife (read bayonet) does not jam, fail to fire, or miss because the holder "flinched". No need to tap/rack if there's a problem.

BTW, I picked up one of those K Bars at our last Easter gun show:D It does come with a scabbard.

Your example is logical. Yet I don't see too many units running them. Reliable firearms are very common. When your subgun or pistol fails at short range they make great clubs. If your subgun fails you should have teammates to support you or a sidearm of your own. Knives require you to close the distance to be effective, firearms do not. Whatever did the world do before such devices.

You are right though, if you have the luxury of having a 9 man entry unit and 2 spotter/observer/sniper positions, you may not have a requirement for a knife. And you probably won't get close enough to use one, however, in my fantasy world, it may be neccessary if I'm alone battling the Russian horde.

Knife for mounting on pistol...

Interesting conversation piece. Not my cup of tea. But if it floats your boat to spend your money on such items, so be it..... ;) :p
