Pistol Caliber Carbine

Ruger or the fx9. Had a sub2k. Fold in half novelty is cool but I never found it comfortable to shoot. Shot the Ruger and liked it. Own an fx9 and really enjoy it. AR like controls and modularity.

I've only ever shot the Ruger, and the conventional style stock plus built in sights clinched the deal for me so I bought one. I think its decent. Seems solidly built.

This has been covered at nausea on this form in a few different threads. Lots of good info out there.

Want to buy a 9mm carbine. Can't decide between Ruger PCC, FX-9, or Kel-Tec Sub 2000. Any suggestions?

The Hi Point 995TS is a much cheaper option. Lifetime warranty. $400 on sale or less.
Problems are proprietary rail and cannot find a 10 rnd mag, only 5. Fun for the money.

Don't buy a Sub-2k, for the love of god. They're Kel-Tec plastic garbage. The gen 2s are slightly less garbage than the gen 1s, but still plastic garbage.

I know a few people with the Ruger PCCs, and they all like them. The new pistol grip/free float rail version looks good. I've heard... Mixed reviews about the FX9s, though I don't personally know anyone that has one.
