Regarding 9x19 ammo for the various pcc's.
Does a 115gr round have enough poop to reliably cycle the action?
What guns have you tried it in, and what brand ammo?
Thanks!

My JR Carbine 9mm had no issues as well too... to a certain extend. I had no issue with factory trigger but once I put in the Trigger Tech AR trigger it had random chances of not cycling action properly. It will eject but trigger won't reset. Tried 115 gr, 124 gr with various brands (CCI, X-Metal, Sumbro, Federal Eagle, FOC reload) same thing. Switched back to factory trigger, not a problem with any of the ammo mentioned above. May be it is the trigger being not very JRC friendly.

I had issues with 115 UMC. I made the switch to 124 in all my PCCs. 115 worked in some of them, but a couple S2Ks were total jam-o-matics with 115 ammo. I was getting, on average, one stove pipe per mag with one of them. Sometimes several. A switch to 124 grain and they would smarten up completely. Go back to 115 and I would get stove pipes again. I chronied the ammo I was using, the averages were:

UMC 115gr 1236.8 FPS
Blaser 124gr 1338.8 FPS
AE 147 gr 1014.7 FPS

I don't recall any issues with the 147. But I didn't shoot much of it either. The Blaser was brass, not aluminum.

- Barnaul steel cased 9mm 115 gr FMJ - 50 rds

Haven't had a stoppage yet.

Hey Tootall,

Apologies for the OT question...

You did an MDR report at shot show and indicated you were "....writing an article for a magazine now.
Once it is published, I'll post the text here.
Until then, I dont want scoop myself..."

Any luck on that? Thanks.

My CX4 has cycled anything I fed it, mostly 115gr. Not one failure in loading, firing or ejecting. I picked up some 124gr from a recent Tenda sale that had them at the same price as 115gr. Both are pleasantly accurate in the CX4 out to 100yrds.
